About the Artist

Based in the Oklahoma City area, Abigail Jolene is currently earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a Minor in Art History and Visual Culture. Her artwork primarily consists of ceramic vessels and sculptures that center on portraiture, exploring themes of identity and memory.

Through pulling inspiration from her family's and her own life experiences, she is able to flesh out these personal narratives into broader reflections that shape the bones of memories that create everyone. Each work is immersed in illusion and the subconscious, inviting viewers to consider what lies beneath the surface of recollection. By merging portraiture and ceramics, she creates artwork within artwork, intertwining tangible form and visible imagery to embody the complexity of memory and identity.
